Konvoi – brown note missionaries from the drain
The band started as a four piece group when Juho, Sami, Antti and Matti decided to found a band in the Fu Manchu and Kyuss style. After a few months of banging heads against the wall it was clear that you can’t slavishly follow the footsteps of "surf stoner" or "desert rock" in a place like Finland – The place where the sun shines two months a year and instead of sand there is only slushy snow. However, the sound remained. The band went on as a project called "Electric Diarrhea" (which derives from Sami`s statement when he heard the sound for the first time). The name was changed to Konvoi after Olli – the long searched singer – joined the group.
The first recorded fruit of work took shape as a split-ep with a fellow band Cold Meat Society in september 2007 and Konvoi will continue following its path through heavy, groovy riffs and broken melodies towards even fatter and hypnotic tunes of rock. Resources for this trip are already on hand and the band is going to record much more songs during this summer.
By the way, do not listen our creations too loud if you don`t want to soil your pants!
