"A Goat Among The Sheep"

About Me

"Combining ultra-heavy psychedelic grooves with bluesy, soulful melodies, the beast known as Goatride was born during the dying throes of the year 2006 when four degenerates from the town of Tampere, Finland gathered together to play some booze-fuelled jam sessions. The main intention was pretty much just to get wasted and have a good time playing unpretentious heavy rock 'n roll in the vein of Kyuss, Down and Clutch.
However, in the early 2007 the bundles of riffs had started to ferment in the collective brains of the band members, mutating into actual songs such as "Going to Altamont", "The Great Below" & "Tumbleweed"... subject matter being pretty much general mayhem & self-destruction & how to look cool whenever wallowing in them. After rehearsing & writing tunes for the better part of 2007, Goatride was ready to start playing gigs in Autumn. In a short time the band has already managed to gather a reputation as a truly kick-ass live act. The 'Ride is currently trying to sober up enough to record a couple of tunes in the early 2008, after which they will hit the road to play plenty of more gigs.
Goatride is, was, and will be until somebody gets killed or goes to jail: Eppe, Tero, Pekka, Antti."
