El grupo Fungus nace en Vicalvaro (Madrid) en el 2001, influenciados por el sonido Stoner. Grupos como Dozer, Fumanchu, Nebula, QOTSA y sobre todo, los pioneros en este sonido: Kyuss, marcan un estilo tan amplio en matices como el propio rock.Tras varios cambios en la banda de guitarras y bateria, la formacion actual se consolida en 2005 con Fernando Matus al bajo y voz, Sergio FuzzCamaro y Fernan a las guitarras y Antonio Heavy a la bateria. Se refuerzan las canciones existentes y se amplia el set de concierto con versiones del genero Stoner Rock.En 2005 graban con King Carlos Diamond su primera maqueta "Lost in a lonely planet" de seis temas. Con la inercia y las ganas tras la buena acogida de la maqueta empiezan a tocar en directo en Madrid, Avila y Salamanca. Para el 13 de octubre de 2005 dan el salto al concierto grande con Los Natas (Argentina) y Glow; en diciembre organizan el FUZZ FEST.
En 2006 graban Psychonaut, su cd con siete temas contundentes y llenos de fuerza (con más psicodelia y riffts stoner, e incluso un tema cantado en castellano) que junto a una versión de Black Sabbath sale en junio de 2007 como disco autoeditado. La presentacion de los nuevos temas se hace junto a bandas como La Ira de Dios (Peru, participando en un tributo a Venom con Ogro Records), Arenna, Craneon, El Páramo, Viaje a 800, Desguace Beni o Sequence the Silence.***************************************something like ENGLISH:The band FUNGUS was born in Vicalvaro (Madrid, Spain) in the 2001, influenced by the sound Stoner. After various changes in the band of guitars and drums, the crew present is consolidated in 2005 with Fernando Matus in bass and vocals, Sergio FuzzCamaro and Fernan to the guitars and Antonio Heavy as drummer. The existing songs are reinforced and themselves extensive the set of concert with versions from our Stoner Rocks favourites bands (like Dozer, Unida, Fumanch, Kyuss). In 2005 they record with King Carlos Diamond their first demo called Lost in lonely planet with six themes. With the inertia and the desires after the good reception of the demo begin to play live in Madrid, Avila and Salamanca. For October 13, 2005 they give the leap at large concert with Los Natas (Argentina) and our friends Glow and in December we organize the FUZZ FEST. In 2006 record Psychonaut, second cd with seven tracks full of power (with more psichedelic & stoner riffts, even one song singed in Spanish, and a Black Sabbath cover).
