History of Reactor dates back to times that nobody remembers - or cares to recall. However, the roots of the present physics can be traced back to 1997, as the journey of the still unborn fetus truly began. Its body consisted of four working members, all with more or less the same goals. Back then, the fourth organ to contribute was Janne Argillander on guitar.
Up to 1999 Reactor had made several appearances in public and few demonstrations on audio format, when a remarkable change in its consistency took place. It lost a quarter of its materia as Argillander decided to leave his mind for other interests. Now, the dismembered Reactor had to dissect itself and return to meditate for the new consensus to build.
During this period of searching and roaming, the consensus started slowly turning into chaos, resulting in taking the seemingly happy but depressive thoughts and acts to more darker and slower atmospheres and soundscapes. The search for the deep insight had slowly turned into a beating. Reactor had also produced more auditive samples of its existence, and kept appearing in places. Even some battles with alike took place.
In 2005, Reactor had found the base and direction for it to crusade, and felt it needed one more part to give the adrenaline rushes and help it to achieve its vision in practice. It decided to attach Koivu - a long time silent extension of the carcass - in to the game. Reactor was fully equipped again. What was left of the consensus that once reigned, was gone for good, a complete chaos has taken place!
Now, we continue throwing bits and pieces of chaos on each others, continue to severe each others heads over visions. And we want you to take a look at us at times we surface from our hole to be seen in public, hear us when we create electricity that moves the coils on your speakercones and makes the air move around you.
