Stay Tuned, Return And Listen

About Me

I was born in Harwich in England and moved to Denmark when I was just a little girl. My dad was a captain on a big boat and my mum the most beautiful woman in the world. My Danish grandparents had a lovely old piano that I always played on when I visited and before I knew it I had my own piano and was taking lessons. Hm.. I was not the most disciplined student as I always composed my own songs instead of practising. I have sung in different bands, done backing on a few singles and composed music with various artists. This is my first solo project.

Finally, school is over and I have finished my thesis on how artists can market their music online - a real interesting project. Now I can dedicate even more time to writing music, which is my passion.
I have joined the super fantastic band Darker Than Disco, where I am proud to be the leadsinger and hopefully soon will be touring with Jesper Koan. Check out our bandprofile on myspace.com/darkerthandisco.
I am also part of a cool group called BigidiBoomClash (myspace.com/bigidiboomclash) where the two Human Beat Boxers Thomas Bense and Pelle Palm and I do our own cover versions of songs with the dirtiest beats ever! No, I do not beatbox (yet) but have the honor of singing the sexy vocals.
Thanks to Darker Than Disco (myspace.com/darkerthandisco) who is a true inspiration and Mogens from Spiffstudio (myspace.com/spiffstudio) for his help with mastering Come and Get Me.
The pictures on my MySpace have been taken by Peter Irgens, Lars Bjarnø and Thea Sørensen.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Just me ;o)
Influences: So many great musicians have influenced my music and my life. When I was a little girl my mum would put on Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Bob Marley, Donald Fagan (not at once, though) and my sister, mum and me would dance around the living room. I loved it and I still love the music today.

I listen to everything from Electronica, Lounge, Chill, House, R&B, Pop to classical music and some Opera. I recently discovered MYLO (now why am I so far behind and if you happen to know MYLO tell him to start on a new cd asap).

Ok, I can’t mention all the bands I love and have influenced me, but here are a few: Coldplay, Feist, Air, Röyksopp, Mazzy Star, Bat for Lashes, Teitur, Fray, Elisa, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, D’Angelo, Roots, Natalie Imbruglia,... and many many more.
Sounds Like: I guess it sounds like me!
