On August 25, 2007, Ashley Kazian was crowned Miss United States 2007 at the conclusion of the sixth annual Miss United States Competition. The twenty two year old, South Carolina native was thrilled at the outcome. She is a senior at the Art Institute of Charlotte, who aspires to have her dream job in New york City as a fashion stylist for Vogue Magazine. Ashley helped raise over $130,000.00 for the Cystinosis Research Network and would love to do her best to be a positive role model and to educate the community about Cystinosis. She wants to touch people's lives and to be inspired by them. In addition to the many prizes Ashley won, she will embark on an incredible year of experiences; traveling throughout the country promoting issues dear to her heart, working with numerous charitable organization, while meeting various dignitaries and experiencing an unparalleled wealth of personal growth opportunities. These experiences are unique to the Miss United States Organization and will become an integral part in furthering Ashley's aspirations.Ashley will work with Crowns for a Cure, the official foundation of the Miss United States Organization, which aims at using the national title to help many causes across the nation.
