I represented Texas when I was crowned Miss Galaxy at the International pageant in June of 2003, after reigning as Miss Texas US Galaxy 2003 for almost 15 months. I've had seven years experience in pageants as a contestant, director, consultant, judge and producer and have competed in the Galaxy, USA, United States and Petite systems.
I was featured on MTV’s MADE as a pageant coach for a girl named Kitty in my hometown of San Antonio. The episode aired April 14, 2004 and was the highest ranked MADE episode EVER, ranking as high as the popular show at the time, The Osbornes.
I received my Bachelors degree from the University of Texas in Austin in Art History with a minor in Classical Civilizations, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University. I am now working toward my Architecture license at a large firm in Dallas.
I am a former University of Texas Cheerleader and former professional Cheerleader for the NAFL Austin Rattlers.
I was the Founder of the Student Pageant Association at Texas A&M University, an organization that helps to further student's interest and participation in pageants and pageant systems by primarily helping students to raise the funds necessary to compete in pageants.
In addition, I was a Co-Director of the Brazos Valley USA Pageant and field-director for the Mrs. Texas United Nations pageant.
I was the Executive producer for the 2004 and 2005 Texas U.S. Galaxy Pageants as well as the Events Coordinator, organizing the new Texas queen’s events, activities and appearances.
I was a Mentor and Activities Director in the ACE Mentor Program for 2 years, which serves high school youth who are exploring careers in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering.
I have always enjoyed all aspects of pageantry and I hope to be able to keep in touch with my pageant sisters through MySpace! :)
Love and Blessings,
Gina
