On behalf of the Miss North Carolina United States Competitions, I would like to welcome you to the official MySpace Page.It is an honor and a privilege for me to work with young women from across the state. This year, like all of the others, brings the thrill of competition and the excitement of who the next titleholders will be. The pageant begins a year of opportunity, travel, and new friendships. This past year, I directed both the North and South Carolina state competitions and it brought four fabulous young women, Kristen Dalton, Miss North Carolina United States 2007, Emily Wilson, Miss North Carolina United States Teen 2007, Ashley Kazian, Miss South Carolina United States 2007 and Rachel Law, Miss South Carolina United States Teen 2007.I anxiously watched in awe as the Carolina Girls took the national competition by storm and continued our tradition of excellence. I held my breath as it came down to Rachel and Emily as the last two standing for Miss United States Teen and was so proud of Rachel for being named first runner-up and Emily Wilson for being crowned Miss United States Teen 2007. It was time for another moment to be on the edge of my seat when Ashley and Heather Jackelen, Miss Wyoming United States, were pulled front and center. I jumped out of my seat again when Ashley Kazian was named Miss United States 2007! I am so porud of all of the accomplishments my state titleholders and equally as proud of their placements at the national competition.I have no doubt, in 2008, that two more amazing young women from North Carolina will enter into the exciting world of Miss United States and Miss United States Teen and represent us with grace.
