I'd like to meet:
We would most like to meet parents who are battling in divorce and have yet to realize that although one day that battle will end, the damage done to their child(ren) during that battle will last a lifetime.
Children of divorce and divorced parents. Anyone involved in a custody battle or children whose parents are fighting for custody. Parents, whether married or separated, who want to be more involved in their children's lives and parents who would like to get the other parent more involved. Also any people who are interested in helping children of divorce or their parents. Anyone who is willing to participate in some form of activism to bring about the changes needed to ensure that our children are afforded their right to be raised by both natural parents.
No level of activism is too insignificant in this fight. It may only be passing along the tips on going through divorce, fighting termination of parental rights or supporting children through personal involvement over drugs. Others spend a significant amount of time each day doing research, writing letters and making phone calls. Even asking a legislator at a town hall meeting to justify their failure to support 50/50 presumptive joint custody is a form of activism.
Please share a comment below. You are free to agree, disagree, complain or tell us what you did or know of that has helped a child through a divorce or other trying time. We monitor all comments and will post any except those that are commercial or phishing programs, especially stalkrtrack.
