First of all congratulations and thank you to EVERYONE who came and supported the show..
Everyone who attended will know that the night was a huge success!!
After a MASSIVE amount of expenses ($7057.50 to be exact)
We mannaged to raise $1670.50 for the Cancer Council... THATS A TOTAL OF $8728.00 through the door!!
And approx 350 payers... WELL DONE PEEPS!!
Its a shame the expenses were so high but thats the nature of the business.. which is why Sharnee and I will be applying for a govenment grant for Rhyme Intervention 4. This will mean that if the next show is as successful as this one was there is a potential $8728.00+ that can be raised for the Cancer Council.. so keep your eyes and ears peeled for the next Rhyme Intervention.. THIS IS ONLY GONNA GET BIGGER!!!

Hip-hop and fundraising – it’s not an immediate connection you make when the music is often associated with scantily clad women on car hoods and the occasional dwarf sporting a gold medallion. Hopefully this painfully narrow observation is about to change for anyone deciding to cruise along to an event that won’t leave you penniless and feeling like an ass. Well, it may leave you penniless, but you’re guaranteed to have a damn good night. The event is RHYME INTERVENTION, Canberra’s resident Cancer Council fundraising/ hip-hop extravaganza, and the man behind the Rhyme is Dan Simpson, member of local Canberra crew Rhyme Ministers and pretty much a legend in the making.
