Interview by Sachmo
S: Perpetual Emotion, tell us a little it about yourselves.
Z: Well, we’ve known each other for eleven years and have been trying to make music for ten of those, and uh, It’s only just now our dreams are coming to fruition. Did I use that word right?
S: Which one dreams, or fruition?
Z: Fruition.
S: Yes. Joel, you lost touch with Zach for some time?
J: Yeah, due to recreational differences we parted ways. Over six years have passed and there he is at a Slow Crash show at the Mish.
S: What do you mean by recreational differences?
J: Ah, Zach, you wanna answer that?
Z: By recreational differences he means the numerous times I locked myself, wait a minute, he means the fact that I was an extremist.
S: Extremist?
Z: I’m beating around the bush here, let’s let this one go.
S: Right, tell us a little bit about your music.
Z: Well, a lot of these songs are personal experiences. Uh, women mostly, I guess I’m a romantic at heart.
J: But not in practice.
Z: Thanks. A primary factor in the music I create is the harmony. I think harmonies speak to the soul, and it makes amateur music sound better. Also, this music sounds best through headphones.
S: Did you just call yourself immature?
J: He’s very immature, you should see his…
Z: Amateur, not immature. I don’t think my music is amateur; right now it’s basic, me and an acoustic guitar and anything Joel can add to the mix.
S: The sound on the recording is impeccable, where do you record?
Z: That’s highly classified.
J: In my parent’s basement with a computer, twenty dollar microphone, and duct taped head phones. I guess right now that’s all we need; we’ll run into trouble if anyone joins the band.
S: You're looking to recruit?
J: Only if they’re better than us.
Z: No, seriously, ‘cause we’re dying here.
S: Thanks guys. Is there anything else you wanted to say?
J: You’re a poet, wanna join?
Z: In conclusion, we just want to say that uh, we hope you like the music.
