About Me

abby writes her own songs and plays guitar and sings. sometimes she also plays harmonica and mandolin. she admits that she is decent at writing songs, but not very good at writing bios. in addition to playing music, she paints, takes photographs, and writes everything from essays to short stories. she also likes reading, riding bikes, running, all outdoor summer or winter activities, animals of all kinds (though she has a special affinity for owls right now), travelling, and living in the mountains. none of these things really pay the bills though, so abby has a day job at a natural history museum in bozeman, montana, where she does graphic and exhibit design, which has absolutely nothing to do with her schooling in creative writing.in 2004, she released her original band's EP, "another breath," to local critical acclaim. in 2005, her song "libby," about the libby, montana, asbestos mine tragedy, was accepted on an independent music sampler. she is currently hard at work in the studio, recording and producing her first solo album.
