About Me

I'm an aspiring singer-songwriter. Well, actually I'm an aspiring "woman of the cloth," but I am a singer-songwriter as well. I started out playing around Atlanta in small coffeehouses and the like. I've been in a few bands, including a lot of worship bands, but bands always tend to break up. I play most of my gigs up in Greenville, SC since I'm in college up there.

Random Fact:
I got my international TV debut at the age of 16 on CNN International's Inside Africa. I wouldn't have known it aired if my aunt and uncle in France hadn't called me up babbling about how they were flipping through the channels and saw me playing guitar. I've been the "international rockstar" ever since.

My Interests

Music:

Influences: I don't really know who has influenced me. I know who I like. I play about 10 instruments (not all of them well) so different bands have impacted me in different ways, depending on what my instrument of the week was. Some of my favorite bands to cover are Angie Aparo, Teitur, Butch Walker, Dresden Dolls, & the White Stripes I also would love to play guitar like Leo Kottke or Willy Porter. The first CD I ever bought was a compliation of Atlanta artists they were selling at the Hands on Atlanta volunteer celebration and I bought it because of weaklazyliar, so they are a sort of inspiration to me as well. The artist whose music has kept me going in hard times and thus influenced me to continue playing is Matthew Perryman Jones.
Sounds Like: I don't know that I really sound like anyone. You decide.
Type of Label: None

MySpace... really?

Despite my utter revulsion towards all things emo, I have sold my soul to the devil; and the devil is MySpace. Who really knows why? Maybe it's so that others can hear my poorly recorded attempts at...
