Music is too important to leave to professionals!

About Me

As a street musician, I enjoy life at the bottom of the musical food chain.... but music is too important to leave to professionals! I like being on eye level with the crowd, where there is no boundary between the audience and the music. My goal is to deliver a helping of raw, roots music, pulled right out of the garden. Raw and crunchy, maybe even with a little dirt! Farmer's markets are my favorite venues.Musically, I'm not sure I've got anything deep or meaningful to say. I just want to make music that's like a sketch or a charcoal drawing, or maybe even a cave drawing! I'm a musical primative, in the service of song. My daughter and I also perform in a duet known as "Left To Rust". We play bluegrass, blues, gospel, folk, rock, country and original songs. She adds a little sugar to what I do! Buskers

The music scene in DesMoines is changing.  There is a new city ordinance that grants licenses and sort of regulates street musicians in order to encourage guys like me to play down town.  I...
