About Me

Ring of Truth is an anarcho-peace punk band based out of Minneapolis MN. Our style of music is raw agressive punk rock, that has strongly political and socially aware lyrics. To get an idea of what we sound like, think early british punk like Subhumans, Chumbawamba, Uk Subs, and Crass, with an american hardcore edge (ie. Black Flag, Minor Threat), also throw in a touch of folk/punk as well, and you might get an idea of our sound. So if you go to see R.O.T. you might hear more than just straight up punk rock. Angry music doesn't always have to sound angy to get accross its point. To this band as it has been from the beginning the message far outweighs the sound.

Influences: Subhumans, Crass, Chumbawamba, UK Subs, Sham 69, The Mutts (Iowa), Exploited, Sex Offenders, Black Flag, Ramones, Flux of Pink Indians, Minor Threat, the Damned, Naked Aggression, Zounds, MDC, Conflict, Resist and Exist, and all other anarcho-punk bands and many other bands that we have heard, met, or have changed our lives in one form or another. Anarchists, true punks and skins, the A.L.F., the E.L.F., and all other forms of direct action.
Sounds Like: Okay and honest description of what we sound like would be old school anarcho-punk similar to Crass, Subhumans, early Chumbawamba, etc. We are chaotic, ecclectic, raw, and aggressive, our primary concern is the message, because that is what it is all about.

We have a CD out now on Skunkin Plunger Records, it is a split with A Sheltered Resistance. If you want one send us a message We will send one out for $4 including shipping (US) foreign orders would need to be a bit more due to shipping.
We also have patches and shirts available. Message us if you are interested we can do T-Shirts (White Black or Grey), and Women's Tanks in various colors. Mens Ts are $5, womens tanks are $6. And Patches are 50 cents or 3 for $1. We will try to post pics of our merch soon, but we have been really busy lately.
