Two Wheels And A Heart

One Hand in Yours, and The Other Holding a Brick

About Me

Two Wheels and a Heart started as a satire band between bands in May of 2006. The songs were catchy sing-a-long folk punk that critiqued what had become the anarchist scene. The band originally had 4 members Kjell Kvanbeck, Andy Terror, Alex Kielty, and Ben Sargent who over a summer had written a handful of songs, recorded a short demo, and had gained an unexpected surge of popularity and requests for concerts. As the summer went on conflict arose and the members decided to move onto other musical projects and the short lived fame died as well. Sargent and Kvanbeck continued to write music in their pop punk band “The Side Project”, while Terror and Kielty’s band “The Terrorists” died out due to the loss of their drummer. Terror was moving on to play 80’s metal/rock’n’roll music while Kielty was left with no musical project at all. Then out of nowhere on one special day Kielty and Terror collaborated and decided to reform the band. This time they would be a two piece with one acoustic guitar and one electric. They kept a little of the old material and wrote new songs that was a style all their own. The lyrics were no longer satire but a cry for change and a rejection of culture and civilized society. The music had transformed from a folky punk sound, to a new rock’n’roll/folk with powerfully intense leads and solos brought together by the rhythmic coo of the acoustic guitar. Soon after they decided that the band would sound a lot better with a female vocalist to help harmonize Kielty’s voice in the songs. They decided to use Callie Martin. Martin plays tambourine and sings passionately in her beautiful voice adding what the band needs for their sound. It seemed as if the band was going steady, they had good material, and Martin was picking up quick, however Martin will not be able to play with the band after the summer of 2007. Kielty and Terror decided to find someone to replace Martin when she left, and found the talented Truley Squires. Squires will be taking her place singing with her beautiful vocal strength followed by her skill to play the guitar. For the future the band is planning on playing many venues, houses, street corners, and basements and will be adding drums, harmonica, banjo, and other instruments to their act spreading their music and their message throughout the world.
