While men often times are left to the play the instruments- women in Africa lend their voices to everything from lullabies to chanting in ceremonies and celebrations. In Nepal, women gather together every year on the third day after the new moon in the Nepali month of Bhadra. On this day during the Tij Festival,often referred to as "Women's Day", women of all ages join together to sing and dance.
