About Me

WOW!(Work of Women) program at World Neighbors mobilizes people in support of a better life for women throughout the world. Through education, advocacy and donations, WOW! members engage in and support efforts to end poverty, hunger and disease.

My Interests

Building skills, community trust and better living conditions for women across the world. Women are encouraged and helped to join together for development work that moves them beyond subsistence, improves their and their families' health and inspires increased participation and leadership in their villages and beyond. Involvement with this work changes our lives as well.

Music:

Did you know that women in Africa play an essential role in preserving the African culture? While men often times are left to the play the instruments- women in Africa lend their voices to everything from lullabies to chanting in ceremonies and celebrations. In Nepal, women gather together every year on the third day after the new moon in the Nepali month of Bhadra. On this day during the Tij Festival,often referred to as "Women's Day", women of all ages join together to sing and dance.
