Scipio Africanus

I am here for Serious Relationships and Networking

About Me

I was born in 235 B.C. My father was Publius Cornelius Scipio. He was a politician. I am best known as conqueror of Spain and Carthage. In defeating Carthage, I became immortalized as a result of besting the infamous Hannibal Barca. When I retired in Rome, some jealous opponents of mine accused me of railing young boys and accepting bribes. I retired in Campania, a coastal area in Southern Italy. I died in 183 B.C. No one knows for sure how I died...I suspect tomfoolery or maleficence.

My Interests

I do a little of this, a little of that. I enjoy increasing sizes of Empires, wine, vacationing in/conquering Carthage and Spain, meeting distant peoples and salting their farm land. You know, the usual.

I'd like to meet:

Alexander the Great, Pyrrus, General Patton, and especially the comedian Sinbad...he is hilarious.

Music:

I like the lyre. The sound of ancient Spaniards and Tunisians being sliced up is quite musical as well. Also, never underestimate the beauty of the sound of slaughtered war-elephants

Movies:

Anything with John Wayne or Gary Cooper.

Television:

That series Rome sucked.

Books:

I am more into wax tablets and carved stones than books. The Millionaire's Dinner Party by Petronius is a page turner though. Also, I was fluent in Greek...some good stuff there too.

Heroes:

General of the Armies John J. Pershing General George Washington, Alexander the Great, Romulus, the Fonz
