About Me

I’m here to connect with those whose souls long to create. I am a writer, an actress:( not making the big-big bucks yet, but I’ve been blessed non the less ...stage...independent films...print...voice-over...commericals) I believe it is in my blood, my mother and her sisters & brother was all over the bay sharing their gift of song....people today still talk about those Davis Sistas. My mother was also an actress & model, and my dad was a director(how could I not do both) I began singing in the church with my big ole’ family, and doing talent shows at my middle school, at 15 I joined the group "Infinite Praise" and recorded a live gospel album, from there the group disbanned, but God was still blessing me with opportunities; sang background for Goapele along side Latoya London, performed in the group "The Rose Divine" under the tutelage of Meastro Curtis(Jazzyboo Records) and C. Michael Brae(Sony-Hitman Records), then w/ R&B trio "Beloved Soul" with whom I made appearances to countless events around the Bay(Linen Life Gallery, Jelly’s, and other great places in the bay) currently performing around the bay w/ cover band 24 Seven, the great opportunity to work with the very talented Paul Hunt & his group Conjure, doing background for fellow bay artist(Renee Sebastian & others), and hoping to soon follow up my indie 2004 E.P.(on c.d. baby & I-tunes) release with some new "Coming Straight From My Soul" music, from my heart, to the pen, to the paper, keep your eyes and ears open.... The work continues. Also currently developing my own jewelry line( check out FluentJewelry right here in space). I am definitely determined to make a living doing the things things that fill my spirit, and utilize the gifts which God has blessed me with. This road is a hard one to travel, but I press on anyhow, knowing that the reward is sooooooooo worth it in the end, and the ones you meet along the way good or bad, make the experience a rich one for the soul. For this journey i give love & praise to my savior Jesus Christ, with him I understand the possibilities are limitless....Thanks for stopping by...Peace and Blessings!

Sounds Like: JUST SOME KIND WORDS FROM A FRIEND...I want to tell her that God has sown a multitude of talents in the lush brown soil that He has proclaimed to be MeLani. If there is anything that remains in balance in this world, she will reap far more than the mere fame and fortune most other artisans aspire in the exploit of their divine gifts. She will find with those things peace of mind, liberation of soul and limitness of psyche.In her pictures there are portraits of the little girl who would daydream that the woman she would become would free her to do all that she does right now.
