Born the daughter of the late Pastor Samuel Williams Sr, Sara has been singing since the age of 2. Like many other musicians, she got her start in the Church, and her roots are grounded in the Gospel.
At the age of 11, she became a member of NANM inc., and began to study classical music. She competed in and won several classical voice competitions, and continues to serve as an active member of the organization today.
In high school and college, Sara discovered a love of jazz music, and began to study such notables as Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday. She has performed jazz for several events, most recently a celebration for San Francisco’s Japanese Consul General, in conjunction with Yoshi’s San Francisco.
Sara has performed at many local venues, including Maxwell’s, Q’s, Rasselas, and the San Francisco Juneteenth festival. She also lends her talent in the studio, and serves as the Minister of Music at Rhema Word Christian Fellowship.
Sara has been fortunate enough to grace the stage with artists such as D’Wayne Wiggins and Gordon Chambers. She is also a background singer for Ledisi.
Sara is fast becoming a well known artist in the Bay Area. Prepare yourselves, for the Best is Yet to Come!
