Nicole Caldwell is a rapidly rising star as a Stylist and Cosmetics entrepreneur in the beauty, fashion and entertainment industries. Nicole, an Oakland, California native is the Founder and Owner of JUST GLAM, a brand that currently offers cosmetics and cosmetic accessories for all ages and ethnicities. After obtaining a Business Degree from San Francisco State University, Nicole (affectionately known as Nik) quickly realized that training with MAC and other high end companies was not enough to fulfill her passion and dreams. In 2004, Nicole set out on her own as a freelance stylist and make-up artist. Nik describes this experience as "a crash course." She spent many sleepless nights carefully developing her signature line of cosmetics and cultivating a reputation as an incredible stylist, make-up artist and businesswoman. In just two short years, Nicole has created a burgeoning company and has clients ranging from congresswomen to television personalities and entertainers. She is quickly becoming the girl to call for creating the perfect look for the red carpet. Nik knows that a great stylist is essential for celebrities as they walk the red carpet, and that a stylist is just as important as a fashion designer or a personal trainer. Nik states, "One may not know who Phillip Bloch is, but everybody knows Halle Berry and that infamous "Oscar dress." Phillip Bloch is a premier fashion stylist who is now signed to the William Morris Agency; has published a book and is a spokesman for Lycra and Visa. Stylists are so critical to the Hollywood and celebrity look that the Academy Awards has recognized its importance and added a "stylist category" as part of their awards. Nik's endeavors are infinite, and right now she continues to teach beauty and makeup courses at San Francisco City College and Laney College in Oakland, CA. Nik also instructs an ongoing workshop on The Fundamentals of Entrepreneurial Business at Laney. She donates her time teaching career awareness, workplace readiness as well as image and self assessment to students in the Oakland School District. Nik is a beauty columnist for Cityflight Magazine, Flawless Hair Dezigns Magazine and bathandbeauty.com. She is an active participant in NABFEME (National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment), a proud sponsor of many non profits which include, the Princess Project, Front Row and the Faith Fancher Breast Cancer Survivors Foundation.JUST GLAM's signature make up and accessories entails contour brushes, professional makeup cases, hypo allergenic brush cleaner, makeup remover wipes, disposable sponges, eyelashes, the ever popular Princess Brush Collection and a full line of cosmetics. This line rules the runway, shines on the streets and beams with beauty. Fueled by determination, Nik will pave the way for those who will follow her footsteps, by educating and establishing an even broader inroad in the beauty, fashion and entertainment industries. "I'm a determined girl from Oakland, California who has an undying passion for what JUST GLAM stands for. There are very few Black stylists in the industry, but I am confident that will change soon. It is important that other women of color see the strides made by an African American woman in this industry, which in turn will encourage, inspire and motivate them to make a difference and follow their passion, says Nicole."It's not just a look, it's an attitude!"
