Blais, Formerly known as E.Blaze

About Me

With the combination of inner-city appeal, advanced rapping agility, and seductive lyrics, E.Blaze is proving that he is a "triple threat" to the Hip Hop game. Born November 9th, 1983, nobody knew this Brooklyn native would be where he is today. At a young age "Blais" noticed his engagement for urban music, and wanted to be part of the movement."I wore one black leather glove all through grade school," Blais laughs, "I always knew that music was something I wanted to do, and I had alot to say, I just needed "sound".
In 2004 he met a group of talented artists in the Virginia area (also home of the music moguls Missy Eliiott and Pharell Williams). "This group had so much talent, but we didn't have any thing to work with, so I scraped up some change and bought some equipment." Together these emcees had only "one" mission; to change the game of hip hop. Keyon Hayes and "Big N.O.T.E. Wesly, owners and artists of the former group "Aggrivated Muzik" decided to extend the group, adding new Virginia talent, one of those being Blais. From making the beats to co-writing the group's songs, Blais was bringing the heat to VA and the underground was loving it. Soon after Aggrivated Muzik Mixtape Volume 1 was released in June 05, the group was asked to perform at well-known H.B.C.U Norfolk State University. In front of a crowd of 500 or more, half being fan base, Aggrivated Muzik was making an impression on the underground main-stream.It seemed throughout Blais's journey with Aggrivated Muzik, he seemed to musically bond with the crucial component of the group "Big N.O.T.E." (Big Nigga On Top of Everything). Both had a love for rhythm and both wanted to make Aggrivated Muzik more than just a regional legend. The two set off to Arlington, TX in search for new opportunities and a growing fan base. "Texas is blowing up the music scene right now. Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug....I wanted to see if my music was good enough to get the South's attention too", said Blais.Aggrivated Muzik's first album is scheduled to release in early May 2007. A few of the artist are also workinig on their solo projects, which are all under the production of Blais. "Even through I'm working on my solo album, it's also important that I grow and keep builiding my resume as a producer" said Blais. He hopes that one day his new found business, EB Productions, will reach new heights and give upcoming artists the opportunity to grow and expand. WIth over 300 pieces of production, Blais continues to hit the studio hard. "It's not easy trying to juggle work (producing) and play (gigs)", Blais laughs, "I want my artists to step outside of the box and have a variety of sound to thier music". His first album "Definition of a Scorpio" will release in February 2007, which he feels is some of his best work yet. "Being an artist gives me a chance to "talk" to my audience, and being a producer gives me a chance to orchestrate my style."

Sellaband is a music website to allow bands to raise the money to record a professional album. [Blais Mission] Blais is currently finishing up his album (in which he wrote and produced), but is looking to make a exclusive cd that nobody, but his Sellaband believers will own. With the support of music industry professionals and Blais' fans,[5] if he is able to sell 5,000 "parts" is then provided with their a multi-platinum selling producer, top of the line studio, and professional A&R to record and promote an album. Now that Blais has a profile, he needs to gain 'Believers'. Parts are then sold at US$10 each towards record, mix, and manufacture their album. [Believers] Individuals interested in supporting Blais' on Sellaband artists by buying "parts" are not considered a Believer until they actually buy their first "part". Believers can purchase any number of "parts" in a single artist or "parts" in multiple artists. Up and until the time all 5,000 parts are sold, the funds are committed to him and the income transfers the funds to Sellaband for the recording project. Believers then own one (of 5,000) limited-edition CD of the album produced, for each part they own. The Believer has the option to take physical possession of any number of Limited Edition CDs they own and do as they please with them. Any Limited Edition CDs not taken by the Believer will be sold through Sellaband. Sales of these CDs can occur through the open Sellaband Store, through the Believer's own Sellaband Shop, or through third party distributors. The amount received by the Believer from the sale of these CDs will vary according to the method sold. Believers will also receive a proportional share, based on the number of parts owned in a particular artist, of one-third of advertising revenue from the free download section of the site, song / album download revenue, and revenue from the sales of "regular edition" CDs.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Recording Artist Blais Announces Promotion for the Upcoming Release of His Debut Single "One Night"

Los Angeles, California - March 19, 2008- Producer and recording artist Blais, formerly known as E.Blaze, a Virginia native who has literally exploded onto the southern music scene this year, would like to announce the highly-anticipated release of his debut single "One Night".

The black and Italian native with roots in Brooklyn, has established a reputation in the hip hop industry as a rapidly-rising star with the potential to become one of the next big names in the business.

"I owe it all to my fans," says Blais, "I want them to know it, too. A good performer is not just giving a performance to an audience it's an exchange between the two, a connection. I feel that, and I want to communicate that message to my fans with this promotion."

The promotion will feature all sales from the debut single including online downloads and ring tones for one dollar. "Everybody knows me for being a grinder and my fans have my back. Now each dollar will count as a believer," he continues.

As a gesture of his faith in the dedication and support of his fans, this unique and innovative promotion will also be giving away 'Blais Bills', authentic one dollar bills which have been stamped with Blais' official website. Fans can visit the site and enter to win prizes and giveaways.

Although this radical promotional strategy is not currently being used by any other urban artists, Blais's manager Jasmine Wilson feels this creative promotional tactic will undoubtedly be tremendously successful.

"Anybody can throw away a flyer, but nobody will throw away a dollar bill," she explains, "several websites have ran similar promotions and we thought it was a great way to reach people and give back to the fans at the same time."

Even before the promotion gets underway, Blais has heard several skeptical remarks on the campaign from other music professionals. Many wonder what the point is of earning money off of a sale just to turn around and give it away.

"We're not giving it all away," Blais smiles, "but this value is so much more now. It's all about reaching the fans. They know it's not about me, but us. I truly believe this, and I want them to believe as well."

The promotion kicks off with the drop of Blais's debut single, "One Night" is scheduled to release on May 10th, 2008.

: BIOGRAPHY
Hip-hop artist and producer, Blais, formerly known as E.Blaze, has quite literally 'Blaze'd his way onto the music scene within the past year. His recognition and popularity has torpedoed its way to the top of the underground hip-hop scene while his abilities and maturity have developed and evolved into the workings of a seasoned artist. With the hard-hitting combination of inner-city appeal, advanced rapping agility, and alluringly seductive lyrics, Blais continues to prove that he is undoubtedly a 'triple threat' to the hip-hop game.

Little did anyone suspect that the black and italian native from Brooklyn would be where he is today. At a remarkably young age, ‘Blais’ recognized his passion for music, describing the feeling as “Music was a part of me…it always had been.” As Blais grew older, his love of music inspired him to pursue an interest in dance at the age of five, which eventually led him to discover the musical medium that he would embrace for the rest of his life; the lyrically powerful and inspiring beat of hip-hop.

"I always knew that music was something that I really wanted to do," Blais smiles, "I had a lot to say I just needed 'sound'. An artist has his brush, his canvas, and his paint: I'm armed with my paper, my pen, and my message."

The year 2004 brought Blais many new opportunities as well as allies in the music industry when he was introduced to a group of talented artists in the Virginia area. Two of these artists, Keyon Hayes and Big N.O.T.E. Wesly, were owners of the group "Aggrivated Muzik" and they immediately took note of Blais' talent and potential. Soon, the group made the decision to extend the group by adding new Virginia talent, one of which being Blais.

"We had so much talent, but it was so hard to get in the studio. So I went out and bought equipment so we could do it ourself", said Blais. Before long, the group would embark on what would become their mission as artists: to radically change the entire game of hip-hop. Armed with extraordinary talent, fresh faces, and a keenly focused determination, the group began almost immediately bringing heat to VA; and the underground music scene was loving it. Soon after "Aggrivated Muzik Mixtape Volume 1" was released in June of 05, the group was asked to perform at well-known H.B.C.U. Norfolk State University during BET College Tour Weekend which featured Lil Wayne, Trina and Young Jeezy.

Blais was then enjoying the first of what would eventually be many career-building achievements. He began to notice that his biggest musical bond was with the backbone of the group, Big N.O.T.E. Both artists shared a love for music and had plans to evolve Aggrivated Muzik from a regional legend to a hip-hop frontrunner. With Big Note having to relocate back to Arlington, TX, Blais felt that it was only right to keep the music going. It was time to see if the group was talented enough to compete with some of the industry's brightest stars.

Two years and many musical milestones later, the two had proven that they were not only able to compete with the talent in the south: they had earned the notoriety and fan-base that established them as two of the industry's up and coming stars. With this experience in his pocket, Blais decided that he was ready to take his career to the next level. In January of 2007, Blais announced that he would begin to work on a long-anticipated solo album. With over 300 pieces of production, Blais has unrelentingly continued to hit the studio hard. "It's not easy trying to juggle work (producing) and play (gigs), but it's what I do, it's what I love to do. I'm not really even sure I have a choice in the matter," he laughs.

Not even a year after deciding to pursue a solo career, Blais has achieved an astounding measure of success, causing him to turn several industry label heads. Demonstrating his talent both in the studio as well as a performer, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry including Pit Bull, Paul Wall, Krazie Bone, Slim (112), Lil Flip, Manny Fresh, and Baby Bash.

With thousands of dedicated fans, Blais had thousands of supporters and currently has over 100,00 online views. July 2007, he performed at the 1st Annual Play N Skillz All Star Weekend ft. Slim Thug, Play N Skillz, Kinfolk Kia Shine, Amanda Perez, Candy Hill and much more (estimated crowd of 20,000).

Blais is unrelentingly pursuing his dream, infiltrating the game with both his message and his music. He is currently releasing his debut single "One Night", which will give listeners a taste of both worlds; hip hop and pop. "It's a incredible song. The fans are going to eat this one up." smiled Blais. The single releases in May 10th, 2008. : : : : .. :
