Willkommen bei sigmasixx.
Mit „welcome to my empire of guilt“ veröffentlichen sigmasixx in wenigen Wochen ihr erstes Studio-Album. Hierbei gibt der Titel den Takt vor, die einzelnen Stücke handeln von Sehnsucht, Liebe und Schuld.
Die Idee zu sigmasixx reifte im Sommer 2006 heran und wurde konsequent umgesetzt. Das Resultat sind atmosphärische, elektronische Stücke – melodiöse, eingängige Songs, die niemals ihre Seele verlieren. Sabine haucht ihnen mit ihrer klassischen Gesangsausbildung die Emotionen ein, mal mit kühl-lasziver Gelassenheit, mal mit sopranistischer Strenge; immer versteht sie es, ihren Texten eine jeweils ganz eigene dramatische Dynamik zu verleihen.
Sabine begann ihre musikalische Laufbahn im Alter von fünf Jahren mit ihrem ersten Flötenunterricht, während der Schulzeit nahm sie dann Klavierunterricht. Die grundlegende Gesangsausbildung erfolgte später in einem Chor, in dem sie den Sopranstimmen zugeordnet war. Es folgte eine Gesangsausbildung mit Spezialisierung auf klassischen Gesang. Bis zum vergangenen Jahr sang sie in diversen Bands und Projekten, bevor sie mit Mike sigmasixx gründete.
Mike bildet das musikalische Fundament von sigmasixx. Seine langjährigen Erfahrungen in Bands und Ensembles kommen in ihrer Gesamtheit heute dem gemeinsamen Projekt zugute. Seine Einflüsse bezieht er von vielen namhaften Gruppen, ohne diese jedoch einfach nur zu kopieren. Auf der Suche nach immer wieder eigenwilligen Sounds oder Arrangements setzt er sich gerne zwischen alle stilistischen Stühle, ohne je den Blick dafür zu verlieren, was einen guten Song eigentlich ausmacht.

Welcome to sigmasixx.
The first album of sigmasixx „welcome to my empire of guilt“ will be published shortly. The songs tell all about yearning, love and guilt.
The idea of creating sigmasixx arose during summer 2006 and was put into action right away.The result shows spherical electronic songs which are melodic and catching without ever losing their soul. Sabine is softly breathing emotions into them, sometimes with lascivity, sometimes composed with classical expression.
Sabine entered on her musical career at the age of five playing the flute followed by the piano. Her basic singing education began with the soprano part in a choir. Then a special classical singing education followed. Before creating sigmasixx together with Mike she performed with various bands.
Mike stands for the musical foundation of sigmasixx. Their joint project benefits from his experiences with various bands and ensembles for many years. He is inflluenced by many well-known bands without a thought of copying them. Always searching for original sounds or arrangements he tries to consider many different styles without losing the feeling for a real good song...
