About Me

An Evening in Paris Gala Benefiting the Matt Dolan Service Fund
On June 2, 2007, at 6 p.m., York St. Café (738 York St. Newport, KY) will transform into a glittering, glamorous version of the world’s most romantic city: Paris, France — complete with scale models of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe! The evening will be emceed by Channel 5's Pete Scalia. There will be gift bags given to the first 100 attendees, and the evening will feature a silent auction with items contributed by popular merchants such as EDB Diamond Showrooms, Bonefish Grill, Michelle Conley & Company Salon, Laura Mercier Cosmetics, The Mustard Seed Boutique, Jeff Ruby's, Ferrari's Restaurant, Nine West, Marriott RiverCenter, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and many more! Live music entertainment will follow from Clark Montessori High School students and delectable Parisian food will be on hand. Later, the event “winds down” (hardly!) with a Rock show: Vitriolic fan-favorites MOTH, Wake the Bear and Turnbull AC’s will cap the evening with their own infectious brands of Power Pop. 100% of the proceeds for this boundary-smashing social event will benefit the Matt Dolan Service Fund.
The Matt Dolan Service Fund is a non-profit organization that helps persons with disabilities by providing shelter, medical equipment, supplies and care. MDSF was founded in 2004 in memory of a special young man, Matt. Matt suffered from Cerebral Palsy but it never touched his spirit. He was a caring and giving young man and through his pain, he always had a smile on his face. In 2004, Matt passed away at the age of 30 from complications of a brain tumor. His family started the foundation in his memory to continue Matt's generosity and goodness to persons with disabilities who are in need by providing supplies, equipment and homes both locally and in mission settings. For more information on the Matt Dolan Service Fund, please visit www.mattdolanservicefund.org.
Tickets for the entire evening are $10 and are available by calling 513-288-7904. Tickets will also be available at the door.
