i was born in a state of rejection, and moved on. my name is J.D.. and i've been all over this great country. but for now i'm living in southern new mexico. right on the mexican border. damn i love the desert. there aint nothin' like it. it makes for some damn good inspiration. i've written about 20 new songs in the last 6 months and i'm currently in the studio recording my 2 new albums, six string outlaw(acoustic), and 2000 miles to dream land. i hope to have the first one done by spring or early summer. i was born the son of a preacher in indiana. when i was 11 yrs old i got into my first real scrape with the law. when i was 12 i was thrown into the real world all on my own. i moved to texas, some where between houston and galviston. i made my way by doin' odd jobs, like clean up crew on construction sites. by age 14 i bought my first pick up truck, and started a junk business. then i discovered the world of tattooing. i traveled all over the country doing tattoos. i was put in a wheel chair at age 17 (from a motor cycle wreck). that's when i first picked up a guitar. i was living back home in indiana, to recover from that damn wreck. and i found an old guitar and amp of one of my brothers. boy let me tell ya, i never put it back down. by the time i got back on my feet(literally), i was asked to front for every band around the tricounty area. i traveled with a couple bands for the next 5 years, singing lead vocals and playing guitar. in 1995 i think it was i started out to find my own thing. i formed a couple hard rock bands. but i just wasn't feelin' it. so i just kept jammin' and experimenting with music. in 2000 i found my self in big trouble with the law once again. i ended up in the joint yet again, so this time i decided to use it to my advantage. i got clean, and started writing from the heart about my life and expieriences. it came to be the best thing i ever did.me and flannery in chattannoogabringin' outlaw back
