..Earl Maggard came about one night while was drinkin' with my good friends... I was drunker than hell like i used to stay all the time and wanted to hear some Merle Haggard but the words that came out of my mouth was "Earl Maggard" and they all just laughed at me like usual... so one day i had a couple of songs recorded and didn't know how to label them or what style to call them and i was tryin to think up a name that people would get attention instead of my own, so I decided to put my songs with the name Earl Maggard and the rest is history... I'm not tryin to live off the name Merle Haggard or do i represent him in anyway and i'm way far from bein country or labeled as country... my music comes from my mind, my mouth and my soul added with weed and liquor from time to time.. so with sayin all that.. i just wanted to explain myself in a little paragraph here just so i wouldn't have to re-tell the story over and over and over hahahaha... But anyways, i hope you all like the music and enjoy the crazy life of Earl Maggard and all the MaggardMass crazy ways and sit back and toke that motherfucker down and drink all night until there's no one else around...We fuckin love you all...- Brian Emerton
