The Blues is a religion and Husky Burnette sho nuff preaches it. You can feel the testimony as he blends Mississippi Delta guitar licks with Rock n Roll, Electric Blues and Attitude. His music is gritty, soulful, southern-deep-fried, low-down and dirty. Husky, following in the family footsteps of Rockabilly Kings Johnny Burnette and Billy Burnette, has written and toured with several national artists over the years. Two of which that stand out are lead guitar/backup vocals for legendary singer/songwriter Roger Alan Wade and the supporting act on tour for Hank Williams III. He has shared the stage with many others such as Scott H. Biram, Randy Howard, Guy Clark and Emmylou Harris. In 2005, after leaving his road band, Husky Burnette set out to do his own thing, as a solo artist with a band behind him. He toured the United States and released the EP "Snake Oil Salvation" in 2007.
Burnette continues to tour nationally, with a drummer backing him up, playing up to 150-200 shows a year. In late 2009 Husky will release a brand new full length album on Burnside Music Productions entitled "Done Got Bad". Keep an eye out folks, he's bringin' this dirty brand of Hillbilly Punk Blues Religion to the masses.
