Devil's Cartel

About Me

It takes one classically trained violinist, a vocalist with a soaring range and a disgraceful attitude, a professional producer with DJ credentials, together with a virtuoso bassist to do the devil’s work. Founded by Ian Holden (production and arrangement), Devil’s Cartel’s current line-up includes Larah Eksteen (keys and electric violin), Louise Eksteen (vocals and no relation), and Lionel Naidoo (bass and guitar). Originally an experimental trip-hop infused brew, the band’s eclectic and steadily evolving sound is becoming exceedingly difficult to pin down. To call it epic and emotive would not be inappropriate, but unexpectedly brash interjections should be cautioned against.
