picture a house standing in the wind. it looks kind of sad from the outside, with the paint coming off a little here and there. then you notice, the longer you look at the house, the more it starts to bring back memories you thought you had lost. and this house is drawn from memory, too. the longer you look, the more colourful it becomes, and though it seems like it has been left on its own for quite some time, you strangely start feeling at home there. siva has made an album just like that. standing like a tall building in the wind. you don‘t see a person in there but you feel the ghosts that haunt this house. and you are not afraid, no. they make you feel calm and welcome, waiting to show you what they have kept for a long long time.siva is a young band from berlin, a quartet combining the remains of pop and rock with warm waves of electronic beats and sounds. reformed late last year after having released two eps on their own and having recorded their first full album, they found themselves by recreating these memories.summer 2007 has seen the release of their first album entitled the story is complete, but i think we‘ve lost the book. it is a sketchbook of phrases and a story in itself. they spent six months recording and it is the starting point of their journey: ever-changing and looking for new twists and perspectives on their work. to see all sides. and to understand and play with them.// siva-music.de
