xp_devices [this monicker was choosen non to praise the fiendish Bill Gates, but because of more well-grounded reasons]. The duo is formed by: Alex Ratto (1980): composition, programming, electronics, enduro biker, guitarist, polyrithmic (by chance!) procussionist, fashion seller & merchant. He realized in the past some death and black metal demos and the laptop album GUYANA REVIVAL (2oo2), selfrpoduced under the name xp_d! +++ Guido Pastorino (1979): gear experiments, humanities, motorcyclist, clarinetist, bone-injured piano music scholar, "accrocchista" and teathrical technician. In his prime realizer of three lps and some eps for a one man band called LRVDT, and the above mentioned GUYANA REVIVAL as a member of xp_d!. The duo operates in a partly vintage studio, poor in quantity, rich in quality (for what concerns technical dotations). On the stylistic side xp_d! are heading towards electronica simple in form, efficient, echoing the punk scene and Giorgio Moroder and denying the false prophecy of glitch sounds and headless song-structures. Here are five names who can be some "perimeters" of the xp-d! duo: AIR, Peter Gabriel, The Police, Motorbass, Chemical Brothers.
