Welcome to the site for my first feature: Abridge
This film is about the nature of death. It's made up of six monologues and six scenes. The monologues are from people who have died and are summing up their lives, talking about what made up their life. The scenes are about those having to deal with the impending, near or the past death of a loved one.If you ever had the chance to hear from the dead. I don’t mean through mediums or séances. I mean if we were able to take a camera and talk to someone who had just died. What would he or she say? Would the focus be on their experiences, the good and bad? Would it be on family? Would they miss them? Would it be a reflection of how they lived, how they faced trials in their life, how they treated others? We are also a fly on the wall for: those dealing with an impending death, a past death or of a near death of a loved one. What would a daughter say to her mother after the daughter’s suicide attempt? What would a son say to a dying father? In the middle of a battle over a comatose mother, how can two sisters find a solution? When two sisters meet up at their mother’s grave, what family secrets are uncovered? How does a man react when his deceased wife shows up in the middle of a board meeting?Abridge is a film about just such chances.Add the Abridge banner to your site!
