TURN IT UP, the album, AVAILABLE NOW!

About Me

A lot of people call me Fitz, but in the cipher, heads say Fitzy cause it rhymes with more words, haha. Everything you hear on here is me. I perform, record, produce, and verb it all.I've got a Bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Performance major on violin, guitar minor, from West Chester University in PA. I also play saxophone, bass, and drums...you could say piano, too, but that would be a stretch. I've been playing in rock bands and other groups for several years now and have been becoming very involved with recording and producing records for at least the past 6 years. I've also been involved in the hip hop scene in the area for a while now; both the vocal and instrumental sides. My goal is to do something undefinable; merging everything I've been brought up on since day 1 and making it tangible.I'm in a rock band called Leaving Cash , so check us out. Leaving Cash aside, almost every project I've put together has fallen apart just before things really started to get good. I decided to start recording all of my own stuff about a year ago, by myself, and whatever happens outside of that, happens.
In February of 2008 I was a TOP 3 finalist in the My Grammy Moment competition and I performed with the Foo Fighters under the direction of John Paul Jones at the 50th Grammy Awards . Needless to say, it was amazing.

The support dilemma.

Support: it's pretty damn tough to get it.  Since I was about 13 or so and just beginning to play shows, it's been increasingly more apparent that nobody ever really wants to come out.  Peop...

The big lie

I spend a lot of time online; probably way too much.  As a result I hear a lot of music and amongst striving individuals/groups, especially and most blatantly in the rap genre, a lot of imitation...

5 letter word, annoying, gets stuck under your skin...

Thorn?  Oh yeah, that's right, it's CRUNK.  I refuse to even call it "crunk music."  Because it's not music.  Do people just want to be dumbed down?  Is this killing the genre...

The Irony of a Professional Musician's Career

I've been thinkin about this one for a while...Breaking into the music industry is no easy task.  Breaking into the club/bar circuit and regularly performing is just as bad, if not worse.  I...
