About Me
"You really should see these guys live...you wanna talk about fantastic talent, this is one of those bands that you'll just be blown away by the musicianship...Go see them."
- Jaxon, 93.3FM WMMR, Philadelphia
Leaving Cash formed in early May of 2005. Based out of Coatesville, PA, the name is a direct reference to the high school's acronym: "CASH," or Coatesville Area Senior High.
The versatile four-piece made up of Brian Fitzgerald, Brenna Fitzgerald, Matt Lobach, and Andrew McLean are known for switching instruments throughout the show. Brian graduated from West Chester University in the Spring of 07. Brenna, Matt, and Andrew are currently attending Penn State University - Main Campus.
The band performs both original material and covers, with covers spanning several genres and decades of music. Our original material is also across the board, ranging from alternative rock to hip hop. Cover songs include hits from The Police, Pat Benatar, Blue Oyster Cult, Average White Band, The Cars, Aerosmith, and Billy Joel, to Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, Notorious BIG, and The Killers.
We are currently active in State College, the West Chester area, and Philadelphia. Our recent media coverage has been on NBC, performing on the 10! Show, on WMMR, performing live on the Preston & Steve show from Finnigan's Wake for St. Patty's Day, and Brian performed in February with the Foo Fighters on national television at the 50th Grammy Awards.
While in high school, after a battle of the bands performance, Brenna was asked to audition to become one of the Paul Green School of Rock's drummers in the All Stars. She has performed with John Wetton (King Crimson) and Skunk Baxter (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers).
