Going to cinema - I like also a lot of films especialy US 40s/50s film noir .Sport(my job),astronomie(sciences) ,to play chess and chess books !--I know this is not rock and roll at all !!

~~~~~~~~~~~ Let's talk a little bit about '50's clothes! - In post-war II~ 40s Blacks and Italos American and some westerners used to wear some crazy clothes in vibrant colors.In 53 , young Elvis influenced by them ,went many time into the Memphis black district accompanied by the bad boys Burnette brothers ,( despite his mother’s objection ! ) There , he bought this kind of clothing.The 50’s Rock and Roll fashion was born. BLUE JEANS - Originally, blue jeans were worn only for work, but first to wear them as streetwear were motorcycle gangs.The "Boozefighters" from L.A. (1946) and real outlaws named "Hollisters" from Burbank L.A.(1947). These gangs and their jeans were immortalized a few years later in the movie "The
Wild One" starring Marlon Brando. After that, blue jeans became a symbol of wild '50's youth.
50's rock and roll cats (and also chicks!) liked jeans, but without forgetting the famous

HAWAIIAN SHIRTS - Since late 70s rock and roll cats digs and wear 50s Hawaiian shirts.
But i can tell without mistake ,i never saw cats of the 50s (on picture!) with them on !
Personally i like better the wonderful 40s Hawaiian shirts.

FAUX ANIMAL skin clothes of 40s/50s like( zebra ,tiger,leopard,snake,etc...)
Tiger & leopard pattern were very appreciate by hot roders of 50s!-
Hot rod is a small US car from 20s/30s customized ,with high-powered motor free of main body !
50s cats used them for made some wild races !
George Barris customize cars since 40s. Since 50s,cats realy like crazy custom cars!

FABRICS - Fabrics of 40s 50s decades were very high in quality .
Many of the jackets, shirts & pants were made in gabardine.
The gabardine made nowadays can't be compared with the
finest of the gabardines made in the 40s and 50s !
Gabardine , what is it ?
That's not a fabric composition.
Gabardine is a weaving.
Diagonal on one side and vertical on the other side.~~~~
The Hawaiian shirts were made in wonderful sliding rayon or "crepe de
chine". Impossible to compare with shirts of nowadays !
Except the Japan replica made with the original machines & fabrics.

i realy like double stitchin' shoes , wow !
Elvis and his cool white shoes influenced 50s cats.
Actual rockabilly bands playing often with them on.
Cats realy like white buck shoes & of course the famous blue suede shoes!
Elvis was the first rocker , hairdress , cool clothes , way of move , free and easy behaviour.

HAIRCUTS!
About those amazing and wonderful Rock and Roll haircuts- there are various styles: ducktail -
pompadour - flat top. Elvis's haircut with greasy pomade was called a Tony Curtis haircut! The
famous "ducktail" is hair crossed on back of the head. "flat top" is a very short cut like a
crew cut. Pompadour was an extravagant hairstyle like Little Richard or Esquerita .In the 50s some cats created also their personal rock and roll haircut!~~~ Hey cats!, don't forget your pomade & wet your hair! I've lost mine , see pics !
