Word of the DayQuotation of the Day This Day in HistoryIn what seems like another lifetime, I was an art student (sculpture concentration). During that time I had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and travel to some pretty incredible places...I lived in England for awhile (University of Essex) and took marble carving classes in Italy . (Pietrasanta) I traveled throughout the US doing a ton of fine art photography...I'm a certified Art Ed instructor but have been teaching Special Ed for nearly 10 years now...I love my job and my students (most of them..LOL) but I would like to get back into teaching art eventually. I got married a few years back to an incredible guy I've known since high school ((strangely enough)) and with him I traveled back to Europe (France, Spain, Italy) and also got to see a bit of Africa (Tunis) I love to dance...I especially love dancing to middle eastern and latin music but a little hip hop will do if it's what's on! I love to read (when I have time :) and to take in an occasional cheesy movie :) I have an incredible daughter and though her, I've become more addicted photography and Scrapbooking! I am a lucky woman in so many ways and I try not to let a day pass by taken for granted. I consider myself truly blessed. Some of my own work:
I'd love to meet Maya Angelou...she just seems so fascinating...I STRONGLY recommend the cookbook/story book "Hallelujah"...it's just a lot of fun and you learn really interesting things about her life and how to cook some kick ass meals :)
LOVE Janice
