About Me

THE POST EFFECT Go to www.myspace.com/theposteffect for our new site. Escape The Reign has been a machine since 1999. Starting with an album solely recorded by frontman Alan Orange with a 4-Track recorder in Drakesboro, KY. His brother Casey added a few things here and there with songs like "Bunny", "Sign The Treaty" and "Restfully Grey" but it was all Alan's showcase. The live effort didn't see light until around November of 2004. Alan Orange was in the group Summer Section Drowning at around the same time his brother was in a punk rock group named pumpkinbomb. After about a year of shows, the two left their old bands and started to put the pieces together for a live group. The Ex-pumpkinbomb guitarist Dusty Willis joined early on to play the keyboard for the group. Many drummer tryouts (including Travis Nannie, currently of A Promise Worth Dying For first, then Bob Casey currently of One Last Round Bob infact recorded the "Fall e.p." before his resignation) were held and after a few months of searching, Dave from Cinci, OH helmed the kit. Comb Baby AKA Bret McDowell from Drakesboro, KY joined the group as one of the founding members. Bret shreds the guitar for the group and adds that special something to all of the live shows. After Dave joined Dusty decided to step down from keyboards because he hated and then Josh Griffin, from Greenville, KY and formerly of Along Came September, joined on the keys and did it way better then Dusty. Shortly after joining, playing a few shows, Dave had to travel back up to Cinci, so Dusty returned to inherite the drum throne to make the noise. This, they soon realized, was the best line-up possible for the band. Today Escape The Reign are on a quest to do what the name suggests and to play alot of shows. Kaboom. Kapow.
