everything that I’ve ever listened to has influenced my approach to music – not
to mention what I have seen. :

OK, then…. I : have: tried to compile a comprehensive
list for you (& for myself). I still have some to add, most of which was
sourced thru the internet. Some of these folks I’ve played with (Hothead

these groups were played on my radio show from 1985-1989 @ KRUI in Iowa City
where I tortured the locals on Fridays & Saturdays 6-9pm (among other slots
and fill ins). I’ve seen a lot of shows and played over 1000 shows personally (in
various projects). Kudos to the Sun City
Girls! who: are absolutely my favorite live band.
Interestingly enough, my 2 nd favorite live band is the Sun City
Disciples. It’s weird how that works out. Anyway, some of these groups are
definitely guilty pleasures, but I get up early to watch ‘Saved by the Bell ’…no shit…that’s an
illustration of just HOW guilty these ‘pleasures’ can be. :
