From the small town of Lucknow, Ontario, Mary Caroline now finds herself pursuing her passion of music in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and Vancouver BC. Mary Caroline has found incredible inspiration from the people and places that have touched her heart since moving to the North in 2005. Her love of writing and poetry can be seen in her clever and heart-felt lyrics that are brought to life with her etherial, passionate and raw vocal energy.Mary Caroline has played numerous shows in the North, including Bushed Music Festival, the Alsek Music Festival, The Snow Castle, Music in the Park, Open Sky Festival, South Slave Friendship Festival and Ts'eko - Celebration of Women in Music. Mary Has performed with Lloyd Thrasher and opened for Hayley Sales.In September, 2007, determined to get her name and her music out to the general public, Mary Caroline released the self produced album, Breath. With the help of her friends at the Green Room, Mary was able to record and mix this sensual and raw collection of 8 acoustic tracks. Creating an album from scratch, with no funding, as been a great and highly successful undertaking for this aspiring young musician.Mary now lives in Vancouver BC, but the influence of the Northwest Territories remains strong in her lyrics and vocal style. Mary Caroline has become well known at jams for her inuit throat singing and harp playing, and has also impressed audiances in numerous coffee shops across the Canadian West Coast. Mary Caroline is getting ready to head to studio this fall, for her much antisipated debut album. ............................................................ ......................................
