Jared's first musical experience was playing pots and pans when he was 7, he began piano lessons which he continued into his teens. In primary school, Jared got his hands on his first drum kit. In high school he studied contemporary percussion with Daryl Pratt and drum kit with Millan Troha. In 1998 he graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium with a DIP mus. in Percussion. He has studied drums with Chad Wackerman ( Frank Zappa's drummer ), Andrew Gander, David Jones----------------Jared is a contemporary player who is well versed in many styles. Lately he has been playing with Carla Werner, Petulant Frenzy and his own band CODA (www.codaplanet.com). CODA recently played at the Bangkok International Arts Festival. They were also nominated for an ARIA award in 2007 for world music.--------------------------------------

Jared has also appeared on TV playing with the Whitlams, on Australian Idol with Delta Goodrem and also playing many times in the house band on the ABC series "The Side Show"-------------When Jared is not playing or teaching drums, he can be found producing and recording music in a new studio that he operates in Pyrmont Sydney.He uses a Protools HD system and a Yamaha O2R mixing desk with the addition of some great outboard gear (Avalon,Telefunken,Focusrite,Distressor) to record/mix a variety of acoustic and electronic instruments. He produces his own original music and also produces/engineers for other people. More than ever, Jared has been enjoying the variety of music that he has been involved in producing.
