Evan J. Beigel, Producer/Engineer

I Produce and Engineer Records.

About Me

In January of 1996, Evan J. Beigel moved to Los Angeles from Chicago with his rock band for the purposes of pursuing a career in composition for film, record production and engineering. After mentoring with top Producer/Engineers Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac), Taavi Mote (U2, Madonna), and Pat Regan (Deep Purple), and an internship with film composer Hans Zimmer, Evan decided to look for his own studio. In 1997, Evan began building his facility from the ground up on a 3000 square foot, dilapidated, industrial building site. During the construction, Beigel worked as a copywriter for the Recording Academy. After its completion, he began recording band after band over the next few years. Evan’s reputation grew more popular as he had developed a pure and detailed approach to engineering and acquired a keen sense of intuition with his mixing skills. By the year 2000, Evan’s facility featured two fully operational recording studios and attracted a talented and dedicated group of Singer/Songwriters, Bands, Djs, Record Producers, Film Directors and Sound Designers. In 2001, Evan formed Jojo Ocean Music-a cutting-edge, multi-media production company, producing records for developing artists, creating scores and post-production sound for feature films, and music libraries for film and television. During this time, Evan would work with a variety of projects with artists including, Nobel Prize winner, Ray Kurzweil, Ted Nugent and Eight Stops 7 (Warner Bros.). He has composed for a slew of commercials (Budweiser, Nicorette), feature films (Death’s Door, Camp Stories) and television projects (X-Men, Playboy), Dewolfe Music Limited, UK (Music Production Library) and has served as Producer for notable artists such as Michelle Featherstone, Eddie Cohn, and Matthew Fisher. In 2005, Evan was contracted as a producer by Blue Fish Entertainment, an independent record label and production company. He began producing the acclaimed country band, Merchants of Moonshine and in October 2006, Evan completed the production of ‘Who Is Mandy Moon?’ by Ambrose due to be released in early 2007.
