BRIEF BIO Burlington-based singer/songwriter Annie Marleau has exceptional discipline and talent for setting goals and reaching them. Her foundation was established through the experience to graduate from the National Ballet School.
Now, a self-managed musician, she has been receiving much attention since the release of her debut CD “Alive” in 2006. Her credits include radio airplay across Canada for her single “Run”, a 4-week run at 1 on the Independent Artists Company (IAC) music chart for her single “Addicted” as well as being a featured artist on XM Satellite Radio’s “the Radar Report”.
Over the past few years, Annie has performed at several Toronto/Hamilton area venues including opening for Molly Johnson at Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival in June 2007. Her music has been described as "unique indie pop material with a strong adult contemporary influence". Her songs have passion, power and range and her lyrics are intelligent with deep meaningful messages. Annie is currently working on her second album which she hopes to release in early 2008.
