1. If you have to run down a list of things that you own to solidify your progress in the music industry, you have what we call a bad case of insecurity. At the end of the day, nobody gives a damn about what you feel that you own. Real industry people can see through all of the smoke and mirrors and see what's really good with your situation. Stop that; it can be a real turn off, to say the least.
2. Please stop name dropping - one thing I can't stand is a person to name drop. Stop that!!! That is whack and if you get around some real industry folk who happen to know who you're name dropping, you've got some people that will front you out on the spot. Save yourself the embarrassment and keep it on the humble. Let your work speak for itself.
3. Please don't send out an entire newsletter talking about haters. Who does silly shit like that? Who actually takes the time to actually write up an entire letter about haters? That's a clear sign of someone who has burned too many bridges, doesn't know how to mend them, and just has too much time on their hands. This is also a clear sign of someone who hates on other people. You are what you put out and into the universe, so why are you hating?
4. If you're going to pass on information that is said from one person to the next, make sure you speak the information in the terms and time frame it was said. There is nothing that I can't stand more than a person who likes to get into the "he said," "she said." They do it as a poor attempt to manipulate a situation to their advantage, not realizing how strong the relationship is between the two people who they tried to start drama with. When you talk shit, you can best believe it's going to come right back to the person who you were talking about.
5. Two groups of people you should never burn bridges with in the entertainment industry are DJs and media outlets. That's a sure fire way to get your shit shut down to the point of no return.

Sounds Like: On the Dee-Jay tip, I sound like Dr. Dre from '86 to '88 - very well-planned mixes and overlays and the majority of the mix is always in KEY! That's when I'm not freestylin' the mix - out-of-key mixes KILL me and let me know where a lot of so-called DJs stand! So get your blends TIGHT! 'Nap is the BLEND/MIX Capitol, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! My skratchin' is a lot like my Influences, so look close! Anyone who knows or has heard me can tell ya the deal. Some have asked if I rap - no, I don't, but I would probably sound like Ice-Dog from the Tuff-Crew! - early Philly rap.
Type of Label: None
