:The Diabolical, Digital, Dastardly, Dashing, DiscoDave was born on St. Patrick’s Day in 1537. It’s called St. Patrick’s Day because that is the day St. Patrick died. He grew up with many musical influences beginning with learning many musical instruments including all brass instruments. In mid-2000, Double D got the brilliant idea to buy a set of turntables and try out the world of DJ’n. He purchased a set of Str8-80s and began his DJ’n life with trance and the name “Vedaâ€, which he clearly regrets to this day. After a year of trance, he began to play house music, this is where he was coined “DiscoDave†since his basis of house music encompassed funky, disco house. Then come 2005 Disco was tired of house and had contact with Topspeed. “I’m over house. I can’t do it anymore it’s just not me.†Topspeed reply’s “Bring me your records.†Disco brings Speed a majority of his house music so that it could be “put to good use†and in return Topspeed began to tutor Disco. Disco started playing short 10-30 minute sets alongside DJs K-Tel and Topspeed at the Casba in Broadripple. K-Tel then found a new life in New York and thus Disco stepped up to attempt to fill the shoes K-Tel was leaving behind where he plays to this day every Thursday.
