EXCLUSIVE DC BREAKS & METRIK 12" TEST PRESSES & VINYL NOW AVAILABLE.
VPR014A: DC BREAKS - ROMPER
VPR014AA: DC BREAKS - MANKIND
With releases on Ram, Frequency and their own imprint 'DC Breaks' and featuring on Andy C’s new ‘Nightlife 4’ mix, Viper bring the deadly duo of Dan Havers and Chris Page AKA 'DC Breaks'.
Their Viper debut sees the DC Breaks take already impeccable levels of production to another level with the sounds of ‘Romper’ & ‘Mankind’. These sounds have set the pace worldwide for the likes of Matrix & Futurebound, Dj Hype, Chase & Status, Ed Rush & Optical, Andy C, Cyantific & Sub Focus. Definitely one for the floor.
Watch out for more DC Breaks badness forthcoming on Viper later this year.

VPR013A: SHOCK ONE - THE CALLING
VPR013AA: SHOCK ONE - FOLLOW YOU
The last 12 months have seen Australia’s Shock One rise to the forefront as one of Drum & Bass’s freshest sounding artists. Since releasing his Viper debut 12†‘Don’t You Know’ and the monstrous ‘Shock Resistance’ as well as his most recent offering ‘Way You Move’ for Viper’s ‘Headroom E.P’, Shock One’s music has been gaining huge acclaim from the 4 corners of the world.
Next up, the man from down under shows his versatile skills, giving us two more
tracks of epic proportions. ‘The Calling’ & ‘Follow You’ have been doing the damage on rotation for around 6 months, and have gained radio support from
Radio 1’s Annie Mac & 1Xtra’s Bailey & Crissy Criss.
‘The Calling’ is a beast of a track, opening with lush chords that build up with a sweet 80’s synth riff, before smashing in with a drop that almost every time gets pulled up. Flip to ‘Follow you’ which features the refreshing vocals of fellow Perthian Grant McCulloch. ‘Follow you’ is a slice of fat minimal funk
viperV.I.P.001A: T PHONIC - KEEP MOVING
viperV.I.P.001AA: T PHONIC - OVERLOAD
Bringing you fresh sounds from new artists ‘viperV.I.P.’ is Viper Recordings new sister label. A place for up and coming artists to throw down their styles onto the dancefloor.
First up we bring you UK artist T Phonic.
‘Keep Moving’ is an epic track with crisp atmospherics and vocals layered neatly over funk fuelled bass rolls.
‘Overload’ comes on or more dancefloor tip. Massive half-time stabs march into a siren and synth led dancefloor explosion, which is then whipped up and thrown back out of clever edits and switches along the way. It’s big.
Next on viperV.I.P. watch out for a sumptuous 12†from Danish groove master Soulmatic in the shape of ‘Until The End’ & ‘Anything You Need’. Also forthcoming will be 12†offerings from the incredible Metrik, and then L.A.O.S.
WHAT A YEAR 2007 WAS FOR VIPER RECORDINGS. After dropping one of the years biggest albums in the form of Matrix & Futurebound’s “Universal Truthâ€, Futurebound has been flexing his A+R skills of late and has been preparing for another mammoth year in 2008.
Since being founded by Futurebound and Jaquan in 2003, Liverpool's Viper Recordings has steadily established itself as one of the classiest and most consistent Drum and Bass labels around. The very first single- Futurebound and Jaquan's 'Blind Cobbler's Thumb'- won massive support from the likes of Andy C, Adam F, Hype and many more, and set the threshold for all that was to come. This was followed by releases from established acts such J Majik and Wickaman, Baron and Moving Fusion, as well as material from newer producers such Probe and Sylo, Entity and State Of Mind. More recently the label has attracted a wealth of young, up-and-coming producers such as The Brookes Brothers, T-Phonic, Sigma and Australia's ShockOne.
Spring 2007 saw the release Viper's first Long Player, the incredible Universal Truth album by Futurebound and Matrix. Believed by most to be the best D & B album of the year, it features the massive singles 'Kniteriderz', 'Family' (featuring the incredible vocals of Robert Owens), 'The Edge', 'Coast 2 Coast' (with Louis Smith), and of course the VIP mix of their earth-shattering anthem 'American Beauty'. Described by Pete Tong as "the biggest thing in the drum and bass arena" and by Knowledge Magazine as "a stark lesson in how to do things properly", this album is quite simply essential.
Following the album, Viper has put out a string of releases kicking off in September with the incredible 'Don't You Know', produced by Australian whizzkid ShockOne and featuring the powerful vocals of Elisha King. This was followed in October by 'Hi-Top' and 'Dawn Alarm', two wicked tracks by UK artists Sigma.
We'll be keeping this page updated with all the latest news and audio, so come back regularly. Also, don't forget to check out www.viperrecordings.co.uk, where you can find information on all of the artists, as well as exclusive dubplate, mixes, photos and much more. Keep it Viper, baby!!!!!!
