Metrik aka. Tom Mundell is a producer from Brighton. Metrik produces drum & bass, breakbeat, techno. Main passion lies with drum & bass music after being hooked on the futuristic and high-energy sounds from an early age. Starting off as a DJ and promoter in the former years, he soon progressed onto producing music. These days Metrik is forging his own brand of unique high octane dancefloor drum & bass drawing from many genres. Expect to hear many different influences in his constantly evolving sound and not sticking strictly to one particular style.
2006 saw signings on boundary pushing techno / drum & bass label, Collective . The first release, Metrik's own remix of the globally acclaimed techno smasher DK8 - Murder Was The Bass is out on full release now. 2007 see's releases on other leading labels including Intrinsic Recordings aswell as playing at nights around the UK and Europe. Recently became member of new drum & bass production outfit, Universal Language with leading techno producers, Jel Ford and Oscar Charlie. Cited as 'one to watch' by Everyman Magazine and features as 'leaders of the new skool' in ATM Magazine.
