Formed in late 2004, Intrinsic Recordings is the "lovechild" of two childhood friends Danny (Intrikut) and Jeryl (Owen Wilton).
Danny and Jeryl met across a dog shit covered Swindon street at the tender age of 6 and have been friends ever since.
To fully understand the significance of Intrinsic Recordings one must first understand it's owners.
After recovering from his traumatic childhood obesity, Jeryl started to direct his hunger towards music, instead of meat and gravy. Throughout his adolescent years (for a more indepth insight visit crimewatch.co.uk) he listened to many styles of music, but there was always one genre that he loved above all others, Country.
After singing in Country band "Jeryl Boy and the Wiltons" for many years with no success other than performing at family occasions, he decided to start a record label in a genre that was more in tune with the UK youth, Drum and Bass. Oh and he also became the editor of something called DeadOnArrival.com (DOA).
But this is only one half of the story, what of his label partner Danny?!
Well aged 11, Danny decided it was time for him to leave the high life that Swindon had provided him in his younger years and move to Oxford. Here he attended an all boys school for 7 years.
At the age of 18, Danny wondered if there was more to life than being sodomised by his gym teacher once all the other boys had gone and so made the decision to go to University in London and learn stuff. 3 years passed by and having learnt nothing he thought he might try his luck in Swindon again.
This is where our 2 heroes finally reconcilled their love for oneanother and the rest is, as they say, history.
