About Me

DJ KAPULET has steadily been building his name since the turn of the decade. Growing up listening to everything from classic rock to hip hop, he developed an ear for electronic music around ..97. He began attending drum'n'bass parties in Toronto in 1999 and started DJ'ing the same year. In 2001, Kapulet formed Prolifik Productions alongside longtime friends A3, Shank, Japhy and Nik Bass. As part of Prolifik, he soon began playing out regularly across Ontario. He held down a weekly residency at Mississauga's Club 108 on both Fridays and Saturdays. He has since shared the stage with the likes of DJ Dopey, Marcus Visionary and DJ Spinz to name a few. He's played at high profile events such as the World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF), as well as across the province in clubs such as Mad Bar, the Kabin and Money in Toronto, and huge events in St. Catharines.Most known for his Bangin' yet Melodic selection, Kapulet's ability to fill and move the dance floor everywhere he plays has made him a crowd favorite. his diverse selection allows him to cater to all audiences and his impeccable mixing skills make him an essential part of every event he plays.He is currently co-host, as well as an in house resident on two weekly prime time netcasts; Taste Of Bass Wednesdays on www.bassjunkees.com, as well as Prolifik Radio on www.planetdnb.com. The shows feature guests from all over North America and receive listeners and feedback from all over the UK, USA, Canada and abroad. Kapulet is currently holed up in his home studio working on several tracks which are slated for release sometime in 2008 on upcoming Toronto-based label General Misconduct Records. He also maintains a residency with Niagara's biggest electronic music promotion company Double Decker.
