Be the change!

About Me

A little bit about myself: I have one AMAZING daughter!!! and I share my life with some great animals. Three wonderful guinea pigs, two amazing dogs, an incredible cat, and neat fish! I had been a vegetarian for about four years, and Fall 2007 my daughter and I both made the decision to go vegan. YAY! Best decision we have ever made! I am a peaceful person who doesn't tell other people what to do, or how they should live their lives. I have a great respect for all forms of spirituality. I do not believe in capitalism. I believe in peace. I believe in living my life according to Ahimsa .I've had a lot of jobs. I've worked in convenience stores, waitressed and secretaried. I even dabbled in the area of financial services! But found that that REALLY wasn't for me. For four years I worked at our local animal shelter. That was the most rewarding out of them all. It was hard to leave. For nine months I worked at a Starbucks on the PA Turnpike. I quit so I could take better care of my family and because working for a destructive corporation no longer sat well with my conscience. Currently, I am a self employed dog walker. ;) Please see the video below which explains why I am a vegan and what some of my personal philosopies are. It is about 5 minutes long. It also has lovely music so if you want, pause my player while watching so you can enjoy it! ;) peace love happiness to all

Heroes:

My Daughter:
She's so bold and expressive, and brave, never afraid to be herself, speak her mind or do the right thing. Living in a rural community, where her style might be a little ahead of the times, accomplishing all that she has, she's stronger than she realizes and I am so proud of her!

My Mom:
She's never been afraid to go after what she wants and never ceases to amaze me. I hope that when I am her age, I can be half the woman that she is. I didn't make things easy for her, I became a mom at 15, but she was always there for me and I couldn't have done it without her.

moby!!
lol He's my rock when it comes to being a vegan. And his music just rocks! :D
