About Me
Brona Graham is an up and coming musician from Portglenone, Co. Antrim, Ireland. She is a multi-facetted musician, mastering many instruments to this point in her life. Since she started music at the age of seven, learning the tin-whistle, she has played the fiddle, mandolin, bodhran, flute and piano, although none of these come as close to her heart as the banjo, now her main instrument. An exponent primarily of Irish traditional music, she has been asked many times to pass on her musical abilities to younger players who look up to her.As well as teaching music, Brona is also a founder member of the group Greine, who recently released their debut album, ‘One Before You Go’. Together they have toured extensively throughout Ireland and Europe and have shared the stage with artists such as Beoga, Sean Keane, John Spillane, Eleanor Shanley, Mairtin O Connor and Kila. She is also in great demand for recording, guesting on both CD’s by the well-established group Beoga, A Lovely Madness and more recently Mischief. She has also appeared on albums by Ceoltóirà Crosskeys, Clooney Flute Band, Marcas O’Murchu and Live in the Kitchen.Brona is currently studying Irish Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, the only course of its kind, under the tutelage of Prof. Micheál Ó Suilleabháin, Niall Keegan, Sandra Joyce and many others.
