Big career change. I have been a classical violinist my entire professional life, with 2 degrees in violin performance from Indiana University and Julliard, respectively. But a few years ago I made an amazing discovery: traditional Irish music and I haven't looked back! Well, that isn't completely true. I will always love playing classical music and the orchestra repetoire. But I find that with the guidance and encouragement of Brian Conway, I devote pretty much all of my energy and time pursuing Irish music. I have recently recorded a project meshing traditional Irish music and traditional Protestant hymns which has gained some interest by people in Northern Ireland.
